I know some of you may not believe this but this was all my Mom's idea. I had nothing to do with it nor would I have ever thought this would be an activity we would do at her house! Growing up we did get to finger paint occasionally. My Mom always had left over paint from making backgrounds for roadshows. We didn't get to do this much and I always thought it was so awesome when we did. Looking back, I am surprised that she let us! But it will always be a fun memory I have with her. Now my kids get to do the same.

ThE cOoLeSt PaRk....
My Cousin Mauri has a condo in St. Goerge that is by this really cool park. We met up with her and let the kids run and play until the were all tired and hungry. This was so much fun. It was overcast but still warm enough. Landen was sick so he pretty much just hung out with me.

St. GeOrGe Or BuSt....I wOuLd RaThEr BUST!
Well, as the week rolled on things just keep getting worse. This may seem like a joke but it's not! This my craziest SpRiNg BrEaK ever. So Cody and Landen have been very sick this whole week. Like all symptoms you can think of, they have had. At first Crew was getting along very well, I thought maybe he had some how been super lucky and bypassed the whole cold season crap. But no, no, no! He has come down with it too. It hit yesterday and he was not doing well. During the night things got even worse. I was really starting to freak out. I wasn't sure if I needed to take him the E.R. or at least Instacre. At one point I was ready to jump in the car go home then take him to the hospital. But after talking it over, we decided I would stay and take him to the intsacare in Hurricane. So we loaded everyone up and headed out. On the way we were watching a Highway Patrol car with his lghts on behind a minivan in the left lane. We could not figure out why the van would not pull over, it just kept going like it didn't know the cop was behind him. Then suddenly the cop got into the right lane and turned off the highway. It was really weird and we were all watching it wondering what was going on. THEN!!!! The light ahead of us changed and the car in front of us slowed to stop and we were paying more attention to the patrol car. That is when we slammed into the car in front us. My Mom was driving. I am so glad it was her and not me. Sorry Mom, but it's true! Thankfully everyone was fine. The boys didn't even freak out and Crew never woke up. We were not going that fast because the airbags didn't even go off. So we had slowed considerably. I got out and took pictures of the scene. Not too bad, I think. Could have been so much worse. We did finally make it over to instacare. Crew did not have R.S.V. like I was thinking. But he did have a really bad ear infection and a pretty nasty cold. I just have to keep an eye on him, give him his perceptions, and take him in to his doctor when we get back into town, So that was a sigh of relief. Even though this had been a bad day, I do count my blessings and feel very thankful that things were not worse. We were actually pretty lucky !

WhAt HaPpEnEd To ThE sUn????
So, we drove down to St. George for the warm sun and nice weather. But instead we got SnOw!!! What the heck? We still found plenty of fun things to do. I took the boys to see the movie, Monsters vs. Aliens. It was a really fun movie. The boys loved it.
Later in the day, when the sun came out for a few minutes, Grandpa Dan took the boys for a hike and rock throwing at Quail Creek. It was windy and cold But they had a great time and came home with rocks and sticks. Landen learned about erosion and told me all about it. This is one smart 3 year old. He uses so many big words and uses them correctly. He brought home a rock that had some erosion!
Yesterday was a bit nicer. Not much but a little! So we tried the hot tub again. Sun at first then the next minute rain! Come on St. George, give us a break!
We all got inside just in time. Landen went to sleep for the night on the couch! This was his second nap for the day! Sure does look painful...

St. GeOrGe Or BuSt...
On Monday the boys, Grandma Nette, Shari, Thaxton and I headed down to St. George. The drive was great, went very fast. Having a TV in the car is the best idea ever! The weather was so perfect. All the boys wanted to do was get in the hot tub. So we swam in the hot tub! Yes, we swam. The water was cool and felt so good. I think Cody stayed in the water for 2 hours, he is our little fish. Actually Crew was a little fishy too. He was totally into the water. He would kick his legs like a little frog. I would pull him out and he would immediately lean forward wanting to get back in. Landen on the other hand was not to into it all. He has been pretty sick. You know, for some reason my kids get sick as soon we get ready to go out of town. It's a curse that I have been inflicted with since the first time I travled with Cody as a baby. Anyway, enough whining! That evening we went to Pirate Island. It is a really cool pizza place. Too me it was like a knock off of Casa Bonita, just piratey. So fun nevertheless! The boys LoVeD the arcade room. I was sweating by the time we sat down to eat. Lugging Crew around, chasing after Cody & Landen, and trying not to lose them, keeping them from wasting thier tokens by putting them in games that are not for little kids, collecting tickets, teaching them how to play the games, counting tickets, now carrying Crew and Landen, talking the guy in charge to give me more tokens to replace the ones we lost in games that were not for little kids, running all over to find more games to play, at last picking out our prizes in the end! The pizza was great too! Yesterday was a little overcast but still warm. We met up with my cousin Mauri and her kids, at this really cool park. I loved it, so did the boys! We stayed until everyone was tired and hungry. Came back home, took naps, chilled out, ate food, watched TV, then headed for the outlets. My Mom dropped Shari and I off and we only made it to one store. Children's Place! Here, I save all this money for the trip for ME! And who do I spend it on???? Of course, my sweet little monsters! I found so much cute stuff. I was freking out. I did not need one more article of clothing for my boys but I could not resist. The temptation and the prices were too great! Seriously, sweaters for $1.99! How can you not? I am all set for next years Christmas card! After our awesome shopping trip we all came back home and crashed. The boys went to bed and slept great, unlike the previous night. I don't even want to revisit that night!!! And I got to catch up on Idol and DWTS! Love these shows!!!
P.S. Grandma's & Grandpa's- I will post Easter later! Check my Mom's blog if you want to see some of our pics that she posted.
