Some December Highlights....

...
Took The boys to see Santa.
Landen hopped up on Santa's lap and rattled off a huge list
of things he wants for Christmas.
That kid cracks me up.
Cody didn't even say one word to Santa.
Took his picture and ran off with his friends.
Then there was Crew!
He would not go near the guy.
But then the rest of the day
all he would talk about was seeing Santa. :)

...
The Joy and Pain of getting the "perfect" Family picture.
I dread this event every year.
Some years it does not even happen.
It was time!
We payed each kid $1.00 to just smile and be good!!!!
I think we did alright.

...
A few months back Matt taught
the 2 older boys how to play Chess.
This has since become a regular
thing around here.
Crew is so funny when he
thinks he is playing.
He moves the guys around and then says, check!

...
This was the project of the century!
I had a HUGE vinyl job.
I spent many, many, many, many,
many, many, hours on this.
I will say as time consuming as it
was; I was so thankful to have it.
I did 90 of these suckers!
From this one job I was able
to pay off doctor bills and pay
for our Christmas.

...
I then made enough
Chocolate covered pretzels
to feed an army!
Picture this tray times 4.
And that was just for one shift!
I made this 3 different times.
Good thing I enjoy it so much. :)
One night me & the boys
delivered them through out
our neighborhood.
They kept telling me how
much fun this was.
Cody & Landen took turns
running up to the door
to deliver some Christmas cheer!

...
We have enjoyed a few
SNOW DAYS!!!
Cody is awesome when it snows.
He loves to shovel the driveway & front walks.
He takes this job on all by himself
without even being asked.
How great is that!

...
Landen's Preschool Christmas Program.
It was short, sweet and adorable, I tell you!
They sang songs then we all
indulged on homemade goodies that
everyone brought. Yum!!

...
Now to "wrap up" the highlights of December
I end with The annual Lowry Christmas Party!
This year we had a theme.
It was the UGLY Christmas sweater party.
Woo! Hoo!
Those who participated were awesome.
My favs were Dave & Sue's Family
and my step-dad Dan!
Hilarious!
It was a great night had by all.
I don't even know where to start with
all the great pictures from this
crazy party we had.
So I just picked random fun ones.

Well, as usual, I am just a little behind on blogging this but who's keeping track? So about a month ago I took Cody to the Circus for one of our mommy/son dates. I have not been to the Circus since I was a kid. I remembered it was exciting and magical and could not wait to take my kids someday. I bought my tickets online. Love that by the way. I surprised Cody that morning with my plan of going downtown for the Greatest Show on Earth! I took him to the pre-show where you can meet all the clowns and try on costumes, stuff like that. Next we walked around the venue and checked out all the Circus garb they sell and somehow found myself buying him a $10.00 slushy! I was clearly not in the right state of mind. We found our seats which were not bad but not great. We sat in the lower section on the far end. At 2pm the lights dimmed and the Ringmaster started the show. Cody was so excited. I loved seeing his reaction to each new event. I on the other hand was not so impressed. Things have changed a bit since I was a kid. So many things are fake now. Or maybe it was always fake and I can just tell the difference now. :) I did love the super, crazy bendy girls. So amazing what they can do with their bodies. Cody was most excited by the guys who ride motor cycles inside a cage. He told me we had to get video of this cause Dad would love it! In conclusion, it was so much fun to spend time alone with him and do something I knew he would love. I did tell Matt when I got home that next time around he is taking the kids to the circus. I had my fill for quite some time. :)
My handsome blue eyed boy.

Getting sweet tats.

These guys on stilts were awesome. They got skills.

Costumes! Just the jacket alone was incredibly heavy.

Cody's favorite clown.

the beloved slushy

Love my boy!

The Greatest Show on Earth!

Sorry, horrible pic, but this is the motor cycles guys.

I do enjoy the Elephants. So cute!

Another bad pic but this guy rides his motorcycle on a tight rope with this chick sitting on a swing.

Trampoline people. It looks so fun I wanted to go jump!

And this concludes our fun day at the circus.
