SwImMiNg At ScEra.....

Yesterday we spent the day swimming again. Last time we went it was during the week. I was a little worried about how a Saturday would be like. We got there before it opened so we could be one of the first to get in. This way we were sure to get a good shady spot too! When they let us in it was a mad dash for all the good spots. We got one. Thanks to my mom. She had it all scoped out. The pool was so nice. It wasn't too crowded either. It seemed better than it was on the weekday. Landen was much more comfortable this time. He would even venture out on his own. Cody was perfecting his dive. It is not really diving he just jumps in but he calls it diving. We would play "chase" where Cody swims away from me and Landen and I have to catch him. This seemed to be a favorite too! The other cool hang out is the little swim park. The water is freezing cold but the boys still seem to enjoy playing in it! Once again I got sun burned. Not as much as last week but still!!! I even made sure I kept putting on sunscreen. My boys never get burned. For some reason I seem to repel the sunblock! We had a great time and can't wait to go again! Maybe one of these days we can get Matt to join us. He had already made plans with Justin his brother and his friend Jamie to go GT Live in Tooele. I think he had a better time then he would have swimming. He got to do a ride along in a race prep Mustang. This may even be the highlight of his year! He also ran auto cross with his sweet Eclipse! I should have him doing his own post about this. I am sure I am not telling it right or doing justice to how cool this day really was for him!

This is the Mustang Matt did his ride along in.

Matt's sweet Eclipse! Sarcasm dripping!!!! He did his auto run in 43 sec. I was going to upload the video of it but it was taking way too long!

SiX wHoLe MoNtHs....

Okay! So I have made it to six months! Yea. For awhile a thought this would never get here fast enough. I am starting to feel better. I am not sick all the time. The headaches seem to easing up a bit. I am probably cursing myself right now! I have gotten some energy back. So I can finally catch up on some house and yard work. And now maybe my family can stand to be around me! HA! I can be pretty grouchy when I am preggers.

A hOuSe FuLL oF BOYS!!!!!!

On Wednesday my cute sister-in-law Monica came to visit us with her two boys. They are on their way to Cedar City for a family reunion. It was great to see them and have them spend some time with us. For the most part all the boys were great. It's just that whole idea of sharing toys that gets in the way! Dang it! We played out side a lot and inside even more. My kids never want to be inside and Monica's boys just wanted to stay inside. I think it was the basement FULL of toys that kept them so entertained. So it was funny my kids would be outside and hers inside??? These boys have hardly seen each other in two years. Always beg to see each other and then don't even play together! It was just funny to me! Today I think everyone was worn out and ready for a break. Seemed like it was conflict after conflict with the boys. I of course had my sweet headache and it getting to be nap time for the little ones. So around 1pm we headed for lunch together and then Monica was on her way to see more family. It was so fun to have all the boys together again and great to see Monica! I loved just sitting around and chatting with her. I can't believe I did not get one picture of us together. I was so focused on the boys pictures (which did not turn out at all!) that I totally spaced it! Thanks Monica for the fun visit! Love ya tons!!!!

On Father's day my mom took some pictures of our family. They turned out pretty goofy but I like them anyway! It shows what we are really like. Just a bunch of goofballs who love each other!

JaMbErRy JaM.....

Last week my Mom had me and the boys over to make raspberry jam. This is my favorite jam ever. I have made it with her in the past but was never fully involved. I always had a new baby or something like that. So this year I made it with her and saw how fun and easy it was to make. I now have my freezer well stocked with jam! Thanks Mom for having me over!

CoDy TuRnS fIvE.....

So last Friday Cody had his 5th birthday. I still cannot believe this. Time has just gone way too fast. I want my kids to stay little forever. I love their sweet innocence. We started his birthday by going for our morning walk with our neighbors. Then he immediately wanted to start working in his birthday cake. He wanted to design his cake. I did it the best I could. It was so not what I had in mind but I figured it would be fun to see what he comes up with. I usually love to make cakes. I was just not into this as much. Sorry Code Man! That evening we went to Arby's. This was his choice. Then we came home and had cake and opened presents. Very low key and totally all I could handle. I am still suffering from headaches! On Saturday we took the boys to Kangaroo Zoo. This place was so fun for them. I totally recommend it. They had lots of places for parents to chill and watch if you don't want to play. So I read a book while Matt got a major work out with the boys. I didn't read the whole time. I did take pictures and video. See I am a good Mom! Sunday the celebrations continued. We had a Birthday dinner at my Mom's house with Trevor and Shari and sweet baby Baxton (Thaxton). That is what Landen calls him. Too cute!

aLL iN a WeEk.....Or So!

Since I last wrote a lot has been going on. My Mom took the boys to Gateway Discovery Zone. They had a blast. This place is very cool. Well worth the money. They did not want to leave. The best part was they could do and touch just about anything they want to and it's okay! I didn't have to sit and yell or constantly tell them not to do this or that! After Discovery Zone we went and had lunch at the Mall. I had Panda rc=Express. I was the only the only one who ordered it. My Mom had a few bites but that was it. By that evening my belly hurt so bad. I was in so much pain and discomfort. Then I started throwing up. It was awful. I got food poisoning! I have never had this before and never hope to again. I just wanted to die! The very next morning I had an OB appointment at 10 am. I thought there would be no possible way of making it there by myself with 2 kids in tow. But I did. I really wanted to have the Doctor check everything out and make sure the baby was doing good through all this. He was fine. I just had to be really careful to not get dehydrated and was told to go straight to the ER if I got any worse. I didn't. I was better by that evening. Then my Mom got sick! Not as bad as me. But I knew her pain and felt so bad!!!

Next I have been called as an Activities Day Leader. And tonight was our Daddy, Daughter Regal Ball. So we have been preparing for this the past 2 weeks. My partner Kris has been amazing. She worked so hard on all the props and backdrops. I didn't get any pics tonight but she took tons. I will have to get some from her to post. It was a huge success. All the girls dressed up as princesses. We served cookies and punch. All by candle light. Then we had dancing in the ballroom. A huge gold throne for the girls to sit on and have their picture taken with the Dad's. Another cool thing we did was we had all the Dad's write a letter to their daughters ahead of time. We then typed them out on parchment and rolled them up like scrolls tied with ribbon. It was so fun to see the Dad's dancing with their little girls and getting their sweet letters. I was dreading this night because of all the work I knew it would be. But it turned out great and I had a lot of fun. I am also glad to have it over with!

Today was also had Matt's sister Jamie, her husband Jason and his sister and her 2 little girls stop by and visit. Jamie is also pregnant. About a month ahead of me. Also having a boy! So we of course had to take a belly shot of us together! It was so fun to see them. So glad they stopped by. We love them so much!

A few other highlights. We had our Pony Express Days last weekend. Very fun for the kids. They love the parade. Matt went out early to get us good seats! We had a great BBQ at Alisa's and Jeremy's. Always a blast! We went very gourmet this time. Trying all new recipes. It was fun to do something so different. Too bad I got no pics of the food. It all turned out really good. Lots of very strong flavors. Guess I am not accustomed to all the fancy spices we used! Also the other morning my sweet trouble maker Landen got into the container of bread crumbs. Dumped the entire thing on the floor and was playing in it. When I walked into the kitchen he told me it was sand. And he was having a great time playing in it too! To bad I came along and ruined all his fun! I didn't freak out. I actually stayed very calm and ran and got my camera instead!

Well I have survived another week! Barely! But I am still alive and kicking! So that is good. My poor boys are such troopers putting up with me. Cody told Matt he hates it when I am sick. Well so do I Code! We hope it will be over soon. Oh, I almost forgot. We have Landen officially potty trained. He has done so good. I have still been putting diapers on at night out of fear! But he has been staying dry! Yea! Go Lando!
