Since we moved to Eagle Mountain
I have wanted to take pictures of the boys
at these huge abandoned cement pipes.

We have lived here 6 years.

Procrastinate much???

So the other day when it was about time for
Landen's soccer practice I decided I was
stopping by "the pipes" on our walk over
 to the soccer fields.

The boys have been playing over here a lot
as of lately. They were so excited to show
them to me. They also have a club they
have set up over here.

Cody invited his friend Gabe to come along with us.

Cody finding his true potential.

I had to jump in on the action too!

Landen looks like he is out rock climbing.
But nope, just hangin' at the pipes!

Cody, Gabe, & Landen
Landen rode his bike, hence the helmet & backpack.

Crew was loving this little side adventure.
Anything with the big boys is so cool!

Day trippin' in SLC.
January 28th 2012
Coordinated by Grandma Nette.

I absolutely love these day trips my Mom puts together.
She thinks of every last detail,
all the way down to where we park the car.

We started in the morning by visiting
a Lego competition thing at U of U.

Since my boys are such Lego fanatics my Mom
thought they would be really interested in checking this
event out and possibly joining this organization for next year.

{This is a very vague description of what this Lego club
or whatever you would call it is about}

Depending on the area you live in,
they organize the kids into groups of 10 maybe?
These groups meet once a week and create
a robot using the Lego Technic along with other Legos.
Not sure how long this goes on but in the end
all the teams meet together for this big competition
between the teams and robots.
I was told it is a non-profit organization and
 has huge sponsors like Microsoft.

Here we are checking out one of the displays.
Each team has one.

This room is where the teams have all their stuff.
Cody likes this cutout that someone had made for their team.

Just a cute pic of the boys running in excitement!

This is where the robot challenge takes place.

The winning teams get these cool Lego trophies and medals.

This is a look at the obstacle course the robots have to get through
while doing challenges along the way.

The teams were all different. Some dressed crazy like these guys!

Of course my boys are playing on the stage
where they are not supposed to be playing.

Cody is super excited about these balloons.

Team display.

Don't know what happened to Crew
but  here is our  cute family.

Next up is a quick lunch for all the grouchies.
CREW!!!

It is Landen's actual Birthday day so we
said he could choose where to eat.

Of course he wants nasty McDonald's.
I never, ever, ever,  take my kids there so now
that is where they always seem to want to go.

Instead of McDonald's we hit Wendy's
but don't worry about Landen; we stopped
at McDonald's before going to Wendy's
and picked him a happy meal.

And everyone was Happy!!!

Last stop of the day...
Clark Planetarium.

As a kid I always loved going to the planetarium
and as a teenager my friends & I would hit
the laser shows as much as possible.
The Pink Floyd laser shows were killer!

I was totally excited to take the boys.
We toured the museum part of the planetarium
then watched a movie in the dome theater.

The boys watching the pendulum swing.

Matt teaching the kids about orbit and giving the planetarium
all our loose change.

These balls are so cool!

Cool contraption to keep the kids entertained.

They really did put a man on the moon!

The conditions on Mars are not as bad as they say.

Waiting to go into the theater.

The boys picked out our seats. One row from the back.
Ready for the show to begin!

The boys loved the movie.  It was about black holes.
Crew was super into it and saying hilarious things, then fell asleep
for last part of the movie.  It had been a long day for the little guy!

And that brings us to the end of our day!
Much fun was had, can't wait for our next day trip!

Okay, time to play a little catch up here.
Since Pinterest has taken over my life I have not
had time to post on blogger. LOL

Back in January we had several Birthdays.

First up is the hubs.
He was so excited to turn 34
on January 11th.

We almost burned down the house with his Jell-O cake.
I mean look at all those candles!

It really was quite the throw-down.
But how can you not expect things to get wild
when you have a house full of boys?

Matt's fun did not end here.
He treated himself to a long night of
driving triples down to Beaver and back.
Matt is hard core!

Up next......
My fabulous 34th Birthday!

Really, it was just another day but with cake!
Which is not that rare either.
I love cake. LOL

I made myself a delicious Jell-O cake.
We are on a Jell-O cake kick right now.

Matt really outdid himself this year.
He brought me these amazing cupcakes.

A.M.A.Z.I.N.G
Enough said!

and that's not all...

the big kicker is he bought me a new
wood laminate floor for my new craft room!
This is a sample of the laminate I picked out! LOVE IT!!!!

May not sound like the most romantic Birthday gift
but it was exactly what I wanted.

{I will post the before & after pics of my new room in another post}

My Mom had a triple Birthday celebration
for Matt, Landen & I at her house along with Sunday dinner.

And last but not least...

My sweet little Lando is now 6!!!!!

Since we had a big friend party last year,
this year was a fun family party.

I let the boys have a friend party every other year.
Makes my life easier and easier is better!

Matt bought him a bunch of Lego sets.
Would you expect anything else?

Gifts from G&G Simcox and
G&G Southwick.
G&G Taysom sent money.
So just guess what he bought???

Lego Hero Factory.

Landen was also King for a week at school.
He has been waiting for this since school started.
Every week he would tell me it was not him,
so he was floored when it was finally his turn.

On the last day of being King I was invited
to come visit his class and tell them about Landen.
We made a cute 2 page spread to go in the class
scrapbook and then Landen wanted to read an
I-Spy book to the class and call up classmates
to find the objects in the book.
It was so fun to spend this time with Landen
and his kindergarten class.

Matt took this picture of us as we were leaving to
walk over to the school. I love it!!

I just have to share one of Crew's many funnies.
This boy is only three years old and has some seriously hilarious personality going on.
I laugh daily over the amusing things he says to me.

Yesterday morning during our nutritious breakfast meal
of fruit loops and white hot chocolate,

{Crew is on a white hot chocolate kick right now}

I noticed Crew had spilled some of his drink on the table.

Not a big deal but I looked up at him.

He looks right at me,  pointing his finger straight at me,
and very seriously goes on to say,

"Mom, don't say anything to me!!!!"

I nicely replied with, "did you spill a little bit?"

Crew repeats himself but more sternly this time saying,

"Mom.  I.  Said.  Don't. Say. Anything. To. Me!"

as he says this he is walking over to the kitchen
drawer to get a dishtowel. He wipes up the spill.
Looks at me again, smiling this time and says,

"it's okay Mom! All clean!" :)

I ultimately found the whole thing to be hilarious
but maybe I need to work on my reaction to when my kids do mess up???

Crew obviously knew what was coming!!!

I love this little guy with every fiber of my being.
Crazy love!!!!

Some of you may not know this about me but
I am shamelessly and hopelessly addicted to Pinterest.

It has completely taken over my life.
Not even kidding here people!

I don't even sleep anymore.
I just stay up all hours of the night
pinning my little heart away.

I must say I have a pretty awesome life
on Pinterest.

I have come to realize that I am an addict
in every sense of the word.

Wow, did I seriously just admit to all this???

I need to get a real life.

I am going to actually try something I have pinned
instead of just looking at it on my beautiful pinboards.

So last night....

I made these adorable
 PiNk Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies.

This here is a pic of the cookies I found on Pinterest.

The recipe for these cookies is a shortbread cookie
recipe that received horrible reviews.
I decided to use my own recipe and just
add pink gel to the batter.
Why not???
So I did and they turned out fabulous.
I think mine even look just like the pic above.
The kids went nuts over them.
I even sent a plate over to the neighbors.
They claimed to love them too.

I will for sure be making these again but
I will wait for Valentines Day this time!

Landen with a plate of cookies for our neighbor Malinda.

 PiNk cookie dough!
What's not to love???

Landen took this pic for me. Love the kids eye view. lol

 The kids are so helpful.
As soon as they hear the mixer they all come running.

Everything tastes better in PiNk!!!!
