HaPpY EaStEr

To kick off the holiday
we colored Easter eggs
Saturday afternoon.

I have a love/hate relationship
with this little activity.

But it all went smoothly this year.
Big thumbs up here!!!

We added a few new techniques
this year to change things up.
For a tie-dye look we used rubber bands.
For layering effects we used
solid shape stickers then remove them.
Dripped the dye instead of dunking.
And of course I took no pics
to show off our final results.
But I can say they looked
fabulous!!! :)

Just love Crew and his pout face! :)

Landen showing off some of his favorites.
He likes to stick to the basics of egg dying. :)

With all these hard boiled eggs,
I can hardly wait
to whip up a big ol' batch of

EGGS ON TOAST.
(A most delicious family tradition)

.............

We awoke to a
most beautiful (SUNNY)
Easter Sunday.

The boys were up early.
Eager to get downstairs and
find their Easter baskets.

Every Easter & Christmas morning
I always make the boys wait on the stairs
before they can come down.
I just like to make sure everything
is perfect or close too perfect! :)

I usually tease them and get them going
until they can hardly wait any longer!
They are all clapping in this pic.
Funny I caught them all at the same time!

Here they are begging...
MOM....PLEASE just let us go down!

Happy Easter to my sweet, adorable,
Loving little boys!!!!

I love Crew's face here.
He was so fun to watch with his basket.
He would take out each piece of candy
and line them up one by one.

The Easter Bunny gave the boys,
new underwear, Mini Lego sets, bubbles,
and lot's & lot's of candy!!!

Crew's little hand reaching for his Lego's. So cute.

Cody & Landen each got the same Lego set.

Grandma Nette had the Easter Bunny put these
cool GOLD chocolate eggs in the boys baskets.
Thanks Grandma! ;)
...............

After our morning of candy & fun.
It was time to go to church.

We have not been in awhile,
so this is kind of a big deal.

Things are actually coming
together nicely.

No yelling, tears, or bribes.

We even manage to make it out
the door almost on time.

 Church is across the street
so we don't go far but
we notice the parking lot
seems rather empty.

I thought everyone
went to church on Easter?

Heck, we are going!

Well, after walking around in the church
and finding no one in the chapel or
anyone that we know for that matter.
We realize the schedule has changed
or something??

Guess we didn't get the memo. :)

So we just go home.

(Later that day we found out
it was stake conference.)

But since we are all dressed
in our Sunday Best
I pull out my camera for
the chance that we might get
a nice family picture.

Here are the results.
All I can say is that, I tried!

Check out all my Handsome Boys!!

This one is my fav. Typical family picture. :)

Okay, so Crew's tie was from
last year. He was much smaller.
But when you are this cute,
who cares?? :)

...............

And now for the Easter event
that is a family favorite.

Sunday Dinner & Egg Hunt
at Uncle Larry & Aunt Peggy's!

 My boys LOVE this.
As soon as they know Easter time is
getting close they start talking about
the big Egg Hunt at aunt Peggy's.

The food is always amazing.

The kids all run wild.
It's great to catch up with
all the cousins

 We are spelling out WOW!!

Get some good snapshots
with the family.

At last the thrilling egg hunt
is on!!!!

All the Dad's hide the eggs.
There is also a gold & a silver egg
that has the big money prize.
The older kids always find those first!
Making sure Landen has all his eggs.

 Post egg-hunt madness.
Retreating to a corner to sort through our findings!
Happy Easter!
Okay, let's wrap this trip up!

It's funny to me that
it has taken several weeks to
to post about a 5 day vacation.

So here is the final day....

We loaded up our rockin' mini van

Made a few more stops to see
Grandma's & Grandpa's.

Said many goodbyes.
Shed a few tears.

And before leaving town,
I had to get a few more pics with
Great Grandpa Ferrin &
Grandma Elly.

Apparently Crew was not in a friendly mood. :)

In this pic Cody is wearing Great G-pa's hat.
Landen was taking the pics for us
so I didn't notice until it was too late
but Grandpa had a bunch of cool pins
on this hat that I wished you all could see.

and we are off...
Leaving Phoenix. It's a little bittersweet.

Crew conked out fairly quickly. Guess this busy week finally caught up with him!
Notice his little chocolate milk mustache! LOL

Cody was really into all the cactus on the way out.

He even talked us into stopping to check them out!

Almost to Hoover Dam. Just thought this looked cool.

About to cross into Utah.

And we made it!!

Look who is still sleeping!!! Yea!
We were able to drive straight though.
Arrived home safe and sound around midnight.

The End
