CoDy'S CrEaTiOn....

I was making dinner and Cody wanted to make something too. He drew on some paper what he wanted to "create". He always draws out his plans first. Then told me he needed a BIG bowl, whip cream and a banana. We didn't have any but our kind neighbor gave him one. I asked him what he was planning to create and he told me it was a banana split. So I get him a little bowl of ice cream. He is cutting up the banana in the big bowl that I did not see him doing. I did not want him too get another bowl out. So we got all the bananas he cut up put them on the ice cream. He added the whip cream, sprinkles and strawberry syrup on top. It turned out great. I didn't even know he knew what a banana split was. He was very proud of his "creation".

SnEaK pEek.....

Okay, So I know you can not see much. But to me this ultrasound picture means everything! I was so excited to see that little blob. Now I can have some peace of mind. My blood count has been going up continually but a heartbeat is even better. It was the sweetest sound. I wanted to cry. But I was too happy! So next I go to the doctor on the 12Th and then to genetic counseling. I am doing everything in my power to keep this pregnancy healthy. So let's all just keep praying for this little babe!

MaTt ThE cRiMiNaL....

So Saturday night Matt and I dropped the kids off at my mom's house in Provo. The kids are still a little sick so we promised we would not be long. We just wanted to get a bite to eat alone! We headed to Chili's and arrived to see the parking lot full. So we went on to our next place of choice, Red Robin. That was even worse. It was only 5:30 in the evening we thought we were so smart getting out there early. We forgot we are in Provo and everyone else who has little kids had the same idea. So onto TGIF's we went. Now going on 6pm we were at a stoplight at University and University in Provo. The light turned green and we get pulled over???? So we stop and the officer tells us that our light over our plates is flickering on and off and that is the only reason he stopped us. He took Matt's I.D. and our registration and you know. Tells us he will be right back and we will be on our way. So about 10 min. passes and then a back up car arrives. They come up the Matt tell him to step out of the vehicle and proceed to pat him down and handcuff him. WhAt!!!! I am freaking out. I call my Mom. I don't know what else to do. The other officer that had just arrived tells me that Matt has a warrant out for his arrest. I swear to them that they are wrong. They have the wrong guy. He tells me to sit tight and they will see. So about 30 min. goes by. Matt is handcuffed in the back of the squad car. I am my car sick to my stomach. They finally let him go. The warrant is for destruction of a communication device out of Davis County from 2004. We didn't even live here. The warrant had no description of what the guy looked like. Just all of Matt's info. So they let him go because they could not prove it was him. So we got to go. Oh, and the officer touches the light over our plates and some dirt falls off. The light works just fine. It was just dirty. Sweet! We are now so sick to our stomachs but still decide to go eat since that is what we wanted to do. We got back to my mom's around 8:30 or so. So much for being quick. Now we have to try and get this all cleared up and so far has not been easy. No one in Davis County seems to know what to do. Matt just keeps getting passed around between the D.A. and the justice court. So pretty fun huh!

ThE fLu........

The flu has struck our home. It started with Cody and is now moving on to Landen. I took the boys to the doctor today and it was confirmed. So that is what has been up with us. Just a lot of crying, coughing, sneezing, barfing, fevers, sleeping, movies, sprite and a messy house! We also found out today that Cody has an ear infection and pretty good one too. He didn't once complain that his ear hurt. My boys never get ear infections. So I was a little surprised. On top of all this I started spotting a bit over the weekend so I was an emotional wreck. I had a strong impression to get a blessing. So when Matt got home from work he went and got our neighbor Neal. And He gave me an amazing blessing. I will never forget some of the things he talked about. They are life changing for me. I then went to the doctor Monday morning and they confirmed that everything was fine. Just like Neal had said to me in my blessing. It was for sure a miracle in my eyes. So I go again in the morning to have them check on me again. Then next week too. But I feel like all is good. Just feel like a am going to barf or gag all the time. With the boys I never had trouble with food grossing me out to the point of gagging. With this baby I feel like that all the time. It's weird. Even with stuff I used to eat just fine!? Anyway...I got some pics of Traven. (Pronounced Tray-ven) So I will put those up soon. He is getting so big already! Can't wait to see him this weekend.

NeW hAppEnInGs!

On Tuesday the 12th a new little nephew joined our family. Trevor & Shari had a 7lb. 10oz. 19in. baby boy. His name is Thaxton James Simcox. This was my Grandmother's last name. (dad's side) Matt and I loved that name and wanted to use it for Landen but Trevor already claimed it. Thaxton is so cute. I just want to eat him up! Matt and I have decided it was time for us to have another little fetcher of our own. And seeing little Thaxton made me want one even more. ThEn!!! On Thursday I found out I am pregnant!! This will be my 6th pregnancy. I don't have the best track record for pregnancies. So I really hope all continues to go well. My est. due date in Oct.23rd 2008. So far away. But so exciting!!!

WhAt A wEeK!

So the weeks seem long to me. I am having major cabin fever. It snows everyday and is so cold. Good thing the sun is out today! Since I quit working I just feel blagh! I have no reason to get dressed. I have no where to go! I have been stuck without a car many days. All that should fianlly be over. The car finally passed inspections and seems to be running???? Stupid Eclipse. Good thing it is paid off. Since I have been stuck at home I have started reading The Work and the Glory series. I am hooked. I read them so fast. Then have to scrounge around and see who has the next volume I can borrow. I should be cleaning but whatever I seem to be over that for right now anyway. I used to be a clean freak. Zoloft has really mellowed me out. Also Cody just gets so bored at home. I try to think of fun things to do. He is really smart and very challenging. We also seem to be very much alike. I think this may be partly why we have so many challenging days? But he is in school now. Doing great. The teacher always talks so highly of him. He is learning to read very well. He writes his alphabet and numbers very well too. Cody is also an amazing artist. He spends hours drawing and making up storeis. He then wants them put into page protectors and bound. He has made several books! This weekend we bought a big roll of butcher paper so he can have endless hours of drawing fun. Landen is showing great interest in potty training. He has for awhile but I never pushed it. He always tells me when he needs to poop. It is so nice not changing those diapers! He wants to do everything Cody does. I know that is why this has been so easy. He slao wants to wear underwear or nothing. No diapers!!!! Or pants! He perfers to be nude. He is a very funny boy. He keeps us laughing all the time. He totally works it too. He will be funny on purpose. When he sees he is getting a reaction he will do it more. He also loves to tease Cody into tears. But Cody gets him back don't worry! By the way if you tease Cody about hot dogs. He freaks. It is so funny. I do it all the time. I know I am so mean.

Landen looking so cute in his unders!

The boys call this their Rocket Ship!

Landen has been wanting to sleep in Cody's room. Cody has been wanting Landen to sleep with him forever! But we tried and Landen just keeps getting out of bed. So back to his crib he went!

OnE YeAr AgO!

I feel like life is just totally passing me by. This picture is from last year. I know my boys are still young but I want them to stay this way forever. I would actually like them to be about 6 months forever. I love always having a baby on my hip. It gives me such a sense of security. I love the special bond and so much love between us. It just amazes me how you can love these sweet little spirits so much. I can't wait for another baby so I can experience this special time all over again. Right now I just have a million wonderful pictures to look at and remind me.
