This year we stayed home for Christmas. We would have loved to go to Colorado to spend it with Matt's family. It has been a few years since we have been able to do that. Maybe next year Dad and Elly!?? On Christmas Eve we had a yummy dinner at my Mom's. We ate poppy seed chicken made by me. My Mom made her famous salad and of course we had the other traditional Christmas side dishes. You know like Rainbow Jell-o!!! I can't remember not ever having that growing up! After dinner we let the kids play. Made cookies for Santa and a sign so he will be sure not to miss them. I got busy working on puzzles. I absolutely love to do puzzles. Once I start I can not stop. I can finish a 1000 piece puzzle in a few hours if I am uninterrupted. Anyway, around 8:30 or so we let the boys open one present. It was from G-ma Elly and it was PJ'S! You know that one pair of PJ's you get every Christmas Eve growing up! I always loved it. But Matt and Tye told me how dumb it was and how they always hated getting clothes. Fine! Whatever! I am still going to carry on the tradition. The boys at first thought it was dumb as well until they put on their new PJ's and loved them! We then headed home because we had to get in bed before Santa gets there!
